this is my 2000p army list, suggestions?
lord with res orb, phylactary, gaze of flame and lightning field
lord with same stuff as above except the lighning field
2x20 warriors
10 immortals
3 destroyers
2(!!) monoliths
it's a shooting only kinda armie

A very simple list for 2000 points. It is in my expirence that in 2000 points you will run into some Close Combat if you dont doo enough damage in shooting. Might I suggest that you strip away a few Warriors, and put on 2 more distroyers, and a 3 man squad or Wraiths? Have the Monolith's lay waste to the major parts of your opponents army though Particle Whip, then have your Wraiths mop-up. I would also suggest that, if your going to do that, to try and add a Viel of Darknesss to one of your Lords, and have him with the 10 immortals for mopping up and pop-off targets of value and trouble?
I know you may have your heart set in shooting only, but trust me when I say a Tyranid army will shred that whole thing. You will eather want wraiths, or at least some Scarabs to get in their. I know you may have your heart set on this army, then use it. But I am just going to warn you that you need to apply as many aspects of the game as possible.

An army like that, ie with two monlithes is doing two things.
A. Putting all its eggs in one (Well, kinda two) basket.
B. Being heavily outnumbered.
1 Monolith maybe?

i've been thinking and im gonna have two versions of my army.
1 is the shooting only army described above and in the other im gonna replace a mono with 3 wraiths and some scarabs

I personally like the 2 Monoliths. To see my opponents face when I put ONE monolith on the table is awesome but 2 WOW that would be sweet.

At the local GW I saw one bloke use three (YES 3!) Liths in a 2500 point battle. Interesting thing was that it was using city terrain - making the Liths a great moving road block.
Looked so sweet having the Liths slowly bearing down the boards - pounding the bejeezus out of the defenders as the fast moving wraiths and beetles and a VOD'ing Lord/Immortal squad kept them busy (defenders stupidly concentrating their fire on the rapidly advancing beetles- trying to protect their tanks and armour).
Then as the Liths came in close they spewed forth squad after squad of Warriors.
Awesome.

i use my liths in the same way, just keep moving them forward and then teleport the warriors and shoot everything to smitherins(how do u spell that??)
